The Bolster marketplace matches startups with executives for interim, fractional, or advisory roles, board appointments, and full-time jobs. About the role

Bolster’s go-to-market (GTM) business model largely relies on strategy partners for new business development. In this role, you’ll partner with the GTM Partner Team, marketing, and various co-founders to expand the company’s reach via key partners - notably Silicon Valley Bank (SVB).

What you’ll be doing

  • Build relationships with bank leadership across the various relationship management teams.
  • Build relationships with individual bank relationship managers.
  • Build and execute programming, content, and events as lead generation for Bolster.
  • The above initiatives are designed to generate client referrals from SVB to Bolster.
  • Develop and deliver KPIs for quarterly business reviews across SVB.
  • Shifting the company’s strategy as it relates to SVB as our strategic partner.

What you bring to the role:

  • Networking and business development: You will be expected to navigate the various client facing groups and their leadership, with the goal of generating client referrals from SVB clients.
  • Trust: Candidate is expected to develop and maintain trusting relationships with both SVB contacts and their clients.
  • Sales: While you are not expected to close any client deals, you are expected to bring a sales mentality to your operating system.
  • Maintaining an efficient and transparent tracking and operating system.
  • Strong orientation towards action and results.
  • Be comfortable in a (mostly) self-managed startup environment. We’re looking for someone smart, savvy and super scrappy who understands how to experiment.
  • Experience in a client facing role at a commercial bank

Compensation, Benefits and Equity

  • The money part - This is a full-time salaried position and the target compensation range for this role is $70,000-130,000 depending on the expertise and experience you bring.
